MORAL 3: We Need To Be Empathetic Toward All

Moral 3: We Need To Be Empathetic Toward All

As Barbie ventures into the real world, she realized that we need to be empathetic toward all.  We witness her profound shock and disbelief at the rudeness and lack of consideration displayed by people toward her. She faces harassment, unwelcome advances, and the unfortunate reality that her words carry less weight than her appearance. Even a teenage girl belittles her! When Barbie shares these experiences with Ken, he suddenly feels a newfound sense of confidence. In the real world, people treat him with respect, a stark contrast to the dynamics of Barbieland. Barbie serves as a stark reminder that respect and empathy should flow in both directions, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging and appreciating the differences among us. We need to be empathetic toward all living things!

Bempathy® Tip: Bempathy® is a process of bantering with empathy.  Putting yourself in someone else’s shoes helps us to see their point of view, even if we don’t agree we can respect it.
