Is a brain implant in your future?

Is a brain implant in your future?

AI & Bempathy®: Banter, Balance & Consequences!

When you hear the word AI (artificial intelligence), what do you think of? Driverless cars, chatbots, and even brain implants! How is AI affecting your world, your life, or your relationships—positive, negative, or both?

Knowing what is real, what is fake, and understanding the consequences is an intricate part of working ‘with’ AI and not ‘for’ AI. Both Elon Musk and Captain Cyborg (Dr. Kevin Warwick) insist that, to keep up with Generative AI, we will eventually need a brain implant.

  • Would you have one?
  • Will they eventually become an automatic procedure when a child is born?

These are things we all need to think about.

In Bempathy®—banter + empathy with a win/win mindset—part of the concept is to think about the consequences before taking action, so we know how to proceed and whether to pursue something or not.

There are many pluses of AI:

  • Saving money
  • Less talk and labor (Waymo & Uber)
  • Productivity
  • Research
  • Speed
  • Help in decision-making

But there are also important negatives that we need to be aware of, because they affect our relationships and physical and mental wellbeing:

  • False or misleading information
  • Harmful content
  • Deepfakes
  • Encouraging societal biases
  • AI Psychosis
  • Too much information, too easily accessed

This is where Bempathy comes in. If we just increase empathy alone, we can actually create division, in-groups and out-groups, confirmation bias, and black-and-white thinking.

With Bempathy, we banter with others – and with ourselves – to stay connected, feel whole, and create balance. It helps us discern:

  1. What is real and what is fake
  2. What is too much and what is not enough
  3. How to find the “in-between” that works for us and others

Humans are constantly working toward homeostasis. Let’s Bempathize© with AI, people, places, and things – so we can navigate the future thoughtfully, consciously, and in balance.

Bempathy® Tip: Engaging in banter which is light chit chat – helps us connect with ourselves, build confidence, and understand our own thoughts. Studies show it can even sync our brains with others, even if they don’t agree with us. Then we can see the big picture….the consequences.

Bempathy® after all is the voice of reason………….Let’s Bempathize!
