“I want to be a part of the people that make meaning, not the thing that is made.”
Moral 1: Be The Change
In the movie, Barbie felt unsure about herself and her perfect life when she experienced the real world. So, at the end of the movie, she made a big decision to be the change. Instead of staying in Barbieland, where everything is perfect and every day is fantastic, Barbie chose to become a real human forever and be the change. She knew that being a human meant she would someday die, but she decided to take the chance. Barbie wanted to live a life full of meaning and make a positive impact in the real world, rather than staying perfect in Barbieland forever.
Barbie teaches us that in the real world, women can have power by being kind, working together, and becoming the best version of themselves. She encourages the audience to believe that we can bring kindness, unity, and self-improvement into the real world, even though it can be tough at times. Just like Barbie learned, facing challenges is not a bad thing. If you want to live in a better world like Barbieland, you have to live in the real world and work to make it better yourself. You be the change!
Bempathy Tip: Empathizing with yourself, knowing you are imperfect with life challenges can be exciting. Being kind and empathizing with your environment will help get you from A to B learning how to make situations work for you.
